Quake 3 Arena | Nokia Game
Guess which Nokia mobile game gets an update? The title of this post says it all I am sure so yes it is Quake!!
This new version of the famous mobile game Quake, is called Quake III Arena and this is going to be one hell of an experience when you play it. Detailed 3D graphics, adventurous episodes, brutal enemies and advanced weaponry are not the only things this fantastic Nokia 3rd edition mobile game has to offer. Quake 3 Arena takes it a step further by introducing bluetooth multiplayer smartphones gaming for all the latest 3rd edition Series 60 Nokia smartphones.
Make no mistake that this version of Quake will take a hell lot of space to install and will offer you with amazing gaming time all over again. The PAK files are around 450 megabytes alone! The gameplay is quite superb and you will not be disappointed I tell ya because the overall first person shoot em up experience is really different than any other games which is the key feature of this game. Quake 3 Arena Mobile is a symbian game with the power of an Open GL platform running its engine. A few days back Quake 3 Arena was ported to the iPhone and Windows Mobile PDA platforms and it was quite expected that Nokia Symbian phones are next on the line! Quake 3 Arena is by far the biggest mobile game ever made and on contrary to its size the game is amazingly fast and responsive to every movement.
You can opt to choose the default keyboard through the number keys on your phone or simply attach a bluetooth keyboard and play the game! With bluetooth attached you can challenge your friends on a fight or simply team up to destroy the enemies together. The blood of the enemies when they are being shot at or dying are the same you would experience on the laptop when you play Quake 3 Arena on it. All in all this game is really one of the best if not the best first person shooter games out there in the planet and you would not have expected any less even if you are playing it on your Nokia symbian phones.

Palm OS games and applications now runs on your Nokia 3rd edition symbian phones!! Great news I know and yes it is true that you can now enjoy some of the best and most advanced Palm OS powered softwares and games on your smartphone. The gaming experience is exactly similar to that you would have experienced if you played it on your Palm and most of the features of applications, any applications, will also be available for you to take advantage of. The Style Tap Platform supports any kind of application or game that does not explicitly require conduits or uses backward sync to your desktop or laptop and of course does not directly require any special hardware that only a Palm OS device offers.
Style Tap for symbian OS powered phones actually runs on cross platforms including the Windows Mobile OS and UIQ3. Any Windows Mobile PDA (both version 5.0 and 6.0) now can also export any specific file type to run on their Symbian phones. Some of these similar hacks and platforms which lets you enjoy something from the other world on a different type of smartphones runs on the trouble of being either full of bugs or sometimes they are unfortunately way too sluggish to be used on the mainstream with full features and effiiciency. Style Tap for Nokia Symbian OS phones is quite different and actually is exceptionally fast and it does not have silly bugs with it so far.
The coolest part of Style Tap is its intuitive GUI which actually enables you to cut, copy, paste bitmaps or any other file types straight from a windows based mobile application on your Symbian mobile phones. This cross platform application also uses the high density VGA pixels which enables it to render texts more smoothly. All in all Style Tap is one of the most useful and innovative products out there on the Nokia software market and you should probably realize it sometime in the near future that Style Tap might just become the next mobile product of the year!! It is compatible with Nokia 3rd edition phones like N92, N96, N95, N93, N91, N81, N82, N85, N78, N79, E51, E50, E71, E90, E61, E62, E65, E66, 6630, 6110, 6290, 5700 Xpress Music, 5500, 5610, 5800 Xpress Music, N73, N76, N75, N80, N79, 3250, 6120, 6121, 6210, etc.

Also, I am extremely sorry about all the troubles you might have faced the last few days but I couldn’t even log in here as my ISP had an issue with their broadband server and there was no internet! All is kinda fixed now and I am back! Cheers!
One of the most anticipated Nokia game for all you Nokia Ngage and S60 N-Series users is the sequel of One, The One. Released only a few days back on the 29th October 2008 One have already surpassed expectations in terms of sale. There have been a few misconceptions that developed around the game which in my personal opinion is simply the ‘hype’ about the introduction of fully motion captured animations on your smartphones screen. So the question is, are you the true One? Can you survive till the very last mission?
Nokia N-gage One is an awesome 3D mobile game which is really not for everyone and rest assured you might even hate it for what it is. It has already been much delayed in terms of its official release but it is sure worth the long wait and those who love action or combat games will looooove it. It was previously known as “One: Who’s Next?”. It’s an adult game in terms of pure gore and violence, (no no not sex and stuff!) and it will blow your mind off if you like multiplayer action gaming on your Nokia phones. One for Ngage offers some unique features which is certainly a positive step forward for the entire NGage community and even to its heritage. The game was developed with the help of a real life 30 years experienced martial art expert and this offers you the ability to pull out moves which are truly cheeky and deadly for the opponents. N-Gage One takes place in several different locations like on the cool Caribbean, the trendy castles of India and even on the unforgiving deserts of Mexico etc. You have the choice to customize your player’s detail and train yourself for better abilities during combat. Beside the use of the Nokia bluetooth devices, One also lets you share and compete internationally over at Ngage Arena. Nokia is even giving out a free Nokia N-Series S60 smartphone if you take part on the online competition.
A few years back when Nokia N-gage was introduced to the mobile handset market, One came out in the market and it was considered as the best mobile fighting game to date. Being its sequel and using such an efficient and powerful processing engine, is One worth the wait? Hell yeah it is!! It was the year 2005 back then and though One being an overall good/different styled game, it didn’t do that well compared to games like FIFA 2007 or FIFA 2008. In its class it was one of the revolutionary games which did change how a person uses their mobile phones. Both typical gamers and action game lovers will love this game, period! This game is all about competition and survival of the fittest and to ensure that you can participate on the online ranking system of Ngage One. The rankings are all publicly viewable which really is a fantastic thing for those of you who are looking for exposure. This game picks up where the previous one left off, the world we know are filled with talented and pro fighters and everyone wants to be King. Your mission is to defeat everyone and be the King of the fighting world. The bosses are truly well trained and you just can’t play it once or twice and defeat them. In Nokia N-Gage One, you will need both luck and extraordinary skills to defeat the bosses. Even the gang members of the Bosses are hard to beat and will probably kill anyone the first time. Over time you will master yourself with different type of fighting skills like martial arts, street fighting, brawl fights etc and use them to defeat your opponents.
The overall gameplay experience is simply superb with no pauses between any combo moves and there is enough details for you to think otherwise at first glance. The graphic details of Nokia Ngage One for symbian gaming devices have been well designed to suit the environment of the fights. The game’s ranking system is denoted by ‘ELO’ and the more points or ‘Elo’ you gain, the better your international rankings become. If you are still not convinced about the awesome and unique gaming experience that N-gage 2.0 One offers then get a hold of this: Nokia NGage will reward the first 100 One gamers with at least 150 Ngage points by the end November 2008. The number “One” person who will lead in the rankings by the end of November will receive 3 activation codes for additional NGage games, a spanking new Nokia N96 multimedia handset, 800 N-Gage points and loads of One related goodies. The One gamer holding the number two spot by the end of November will receive a brand new Nokia 3rd edition 5320 multimedia phone, 500 N-Gage points and loads of action goodies and gears corresponding the One game. So if you are a fan of the N-gage platform then hell knows that it is the right time to build and utilize your mobile gaming career and it is also the right time to get a shiny new Nokia N96 smartphone!
Like I mentioned before, N-Gage developed this mobile game with the help of a real world martial art fighter with over 30 years expertise in combat and it shows in the game because the moves are quite realistic. Flying kicks, hard punches and uppercuts are only the beginning of everything that will unwrap itself over time as you progress into the more difficult stage. My advice will be not to change the player once you are deep into a level as you will have to start from the very beginning if you do. Take your time to practice through and also save your points/earnings to buy better accessories because even the gloves your player is wearing makes a big difference in punches! The training mode of this Nokia symbian game is really well built and you should take full advantage of it. As you will have to start your journey from the underground cringes of combat, you will understand the importance of training and even accessories. Don’t only go for visually pleasing contents, though it really will not make a difference in the long run if you are that damn good. This Nokia game is certainly not the easiest game around and not everyone will be up for it, but surely all the ‘beat em up’ mobile gamers will love the storyline, overall gaming experience, multiplayer functions, keypad setup way much than anyone else! Remember though, you cannot compete online directly through fighting championships, the only way you can compete is through the points based rankings or through the use of a high speed bluetooth device (even a standard bluetooth is supported). But for all that’s in stake, this game is phenomenal and I do recommend it.
Nokia N-Gage One, the 3D Nokia game is compatible with all the N-gage 2.0 platforms of Symbian OS 9.1 to Symbian OS 9.5 like the Nokia N81, N96, N95, N73, N81 8gb, N95 8gb, N80, N82, N85, N79, N78, N76, N91, N92, N77, N75, N93, N92, N73, N91, 5320, 5700, 5800 etc and more. You will need the Nokia N-Gage mobile application for this to work on most of them though. I already published a post earlier about the Ngage 2.0 software so go and get it. Any user with network carriers which have GPRS, EDGE or 3G mobile internet connectivity will be able to enjoy this game fully, including taking part on the Ngage Arena. Telecom operators like 3G Wireless, Etisalat, BSNL, AT&T Wireless, Orange Mobile UK, Vodafone, Reliance Mobile, Cingular, T-Mobile, Airtel, Reliance Mobile, MTN Group, DIGI, Nextel, Virgin Mobile, etc are all able to offer you the true Ngage One Experience. So what are you waiting for? Get it now and be the One!!

One of the best XBOX games ever built now comes to your Series 60 Nokia mobile! Yes, The Need For Speed Undercover Mobile is the latest development in the mobile gaming industry of Nokia symbian smartphones and you can get it right here with a detailed review of it of course so that you know what you are about to play. This mobile game is truly special!
With the success of the Nokia Need for Speed Carbon, Pro Street Racing and Burnout earlier this year, it was quite expected that a new and similar featured racing game will hit the streets soon. That’s exactly what happened with this latest Nokia mobile racing game. Need For Speed Undercover Mobile is much similar to the Carbon and Most Wanted, specially the gameplay and keypad settings. Need For Speed Undercover Mobile also brings you better graphics with stunning details. The audio effects are quite astounding for a game of this size. Need For Speed Undercover for mobile. Let me tell you this straight that Need For Speed Undercover will NOT disappoint you in its graphics level and audio effects in any way, they are absolutely breathtaking! Ask away, what about its capability in the small screen gameplay environment? What about the storyline of this Nokia racing game Need For Speed Undercover?
This Nokia mobile game will pick up from the last episode so to speak and will expand on it as expected. You will be introduced to the ruthless and unforgiving world of illegal high speed street racing and you will have to earn respect and recognition without you being locked away behind the bars. As a street racer you will have several options to choose your type/mode of the game. There is obviously my favorite Career Mode and the Quick Play mode. You have to fill up all the customizations and kits for your cars and make your garage a gold mine before the other racing drivers. This Nokia mobile game is a combo of the famous NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted in many ways. In Need For Speed Undercover Mobile you will have to finish nearly all types of races including the circuits, drags, sprints, knockout based laps and a sweet “catch me if you can” aka going against the cops on a Speed Cam Bounty Mode.
Many laps and cars are actually locked within the first few stages of the game when you first install it on your Nokia symbian mobile phones and you will have to earn the tracks and cars by winning races. There are four unique racing tracks that will be available to you which includes the Suburbs, Downtown, Industrial and the Outskirts. All of them have their own advantages and disadvantages and all are almost equally tricky and good. Still I enjoyed racing through the Outskirts more than anything, the turns were simply thrilling even on the smallish mobile phone or smartphone screen of a Nokia N95. Total number of drivers you will have to defeat are four and each one is harder than the other in every single way but I can assure you that this game ain’t that hard.
All the super and legendary “insanely tunable” cars from Audi, Honda, Nissan, Aston Martin (HOT!), Porche, Ford, Toyota, Lamborghini etc are all there. Though my favorite car in the Need For Speed Undercover mobile game is Aston Martin DB9, I think that all of the other cars have their own charms in their own unique way. Need For Speed Undercover Mobile will have all its features enabled by default on any Nokia 3rd edition Symbian OS 9 and up mobile phones, however 2nd edition mobile phones like N70, N72 are also supported with limited features. I don’t know if the Nitrous Oxide will work though on the 2nd edition phones of Nokia but in any 3rd edition Nokia, you will even have the beautiful blurred effect when you push that special button of NOS! This game brings the true power of the NSeries with it!
The police chases are very enjoyable and intense. They can be a serious threat if you are really up and away on their rankings or speed cam. You will probably end up being busted if you go over two or three consecutive speed cams at high speed. In my honest opinion, in this entire mobile game Need For Speed Undercover Mobile, the police is your biggest threat when you are racing on on the street!!
There are some super cool features in Need For Speed Undercover which really makes this fantastic game a legendary one:
First: The physics and aero-vectors of this mobile game is very well defined. For example, just like in real life you will end up picking up more speed and acceleration if you trail behind an opponent closely because the air friction is much less! This will actually enable you to slip past the car in front in the short term.
Second: In the HUD of Need For Speed Undercover, a small icon will help you drive and navigate way better when you are in a race or if you are being chased by the cops. It will constantly update information whether or not you will drift away when taking a turn in high speed or not. In certain sharp turns, this however is a lifesaver as you will be able to better judge and maneuvar your car by drifting along properly.
Third: The development of the Speedbrakers are nice additions to the game as it will help you once again in jumps and intersections. Something that always existed on the PC or XBox version of the game, not mobile!
All in all, rich visuals & cool gameplay makes this game one of the year’s best so far and you will love it! The Need For Speed Undercover is compatible with a wide range of Nokia S60 N-Series and E-Series smartphones like the Nokia N95, N73, N91, E71, 6120, E51, E50, 5700 Xpress Music, 5800 XpressMusic, E66, N70, N72, N80, E90, N81, N81 8gb, N92, N96, N78, N85, N-gage, N79, N95 8gb, E60, E65, E70, E61, 8860, E62, N82, 6290, 6100, 5610, 5500, 3250 and even 6600. Need For Speed Undercover also supports the major GSM and CDMA network operators like Orange, Telstra, France Telecom, Airtel, Sprint, AT&T, Verizon Wireless, 3G Wireless, TIM Wireless, Nextel, Virgin Mobile, MTN Group, Etisalat, Cingular etc.
Did you check out my Nokia themes portfolio yet? You really should cause I believe you will find at least one from the lot of Nokia themes and besides, this Nokia game will end after four stages but the themes are forever, which you will totally enjoy free here in this mobile blog. Cheerios!
After a long time today, I am publishing a new unique Nokia symbian mobile theme. This classy Nokia theme boasts by the power of one class of a team in both the UEFA and English Premier League, yes Liverpool. As you can see from the title of this post that I named this Nokia theme Liverpool Forever. Honestly speaking, to properly design a Nokia theme which satisfies my taste and makes me happy, really takes a lot of time. Been so busy with work that haven’t had the time and motivation to increase my Nokia themes portfolio. However, better late than never and right now I couldn’t agree more to myself cause that is my inspiration!
This symbian theme for Nokia Series 60 or S60 cell phones is designed with much passion and is one of the last theme that was pending to be finished for a long while. Transparency scrolls, fading selectors and a bright aura of the crimson red makes this focused to a certain group. Being a big time Liverpool fan myself I could not help but design a theme dedicated to one of the best and most highly spirited football club in the world. Liverpool Forever for Nokia is certainly not simply focused on its players alone and nor does it contain the picture of its coach. Rather, this free yet premium mobile theme for Nokia smartphones focus on the core of the team: its coach, its pride, its fans, its heritage, its attitude, its players! There is no denying that Liverpool is one of the best, most strongest and powerful team of all time. Also, there is no official theme of Liverpool on their pages and I thought that it might be a good one to go with the other mobile content already available. So there it was my friends, an idea of a brand new Nokia theme designed by me, your resident Nokia Theme Developer, Ishtiaq aka Chaos Inc.
In the future I will be doing my designing with Carbide Eclipse Theme Edition 3.3, which is the latest one and have more features, flexibility and so on. Of course this particular Nokia mobile theme is also made up of SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics or in other words it’s quite flexible and the edges won’t break!) and it should not consume too much memory of your phone. I am also trying my best to integrate simple elements like transparency more and more into my themes but being out for so long from theme development and designing, I almost forgot who I actually was! Anyway, I guess only time will speak you know.
The theme Liverpool Forever is developed for Nokia 2nd edition feature pack 1, 2nd edition feature pack 2 and 3, 3rd edition feature pack 1 and 2. Compatible with all the Nokia N-Series and E-Series S60 cell phones like Nokia N95, N92, N95 8gb, N93, N91, N90, N70, N70 music edition, N80, N96, N81, N81 8gb, N95 8gb, 3250, 6680, 6290, Nokia N72, N73, N75, N76, N77, N78, N79, N85, E71, E66, E90, E70, E50, E51, E60, E62, E65, 5700, 5500, Xpress Music 5610, 3230, Luna, Arte, 6300, 6120, 6210 etc and more. For a complete list of compatibility and which your particular Nokia phone supports, please check out the Phone OS page here.
Downloads:
Please note that I have included all the 3 versions of this Nokia theme in the download above, simply download the entire package and extract it. Then choose which suites your Nokia smartphone and you are done. In case you experience an expired certificate issue, please change the date of your phone to any day from last year and install the theme.
Also please check out the other themes in my mobile themes portfolio for Nokia devices and smartphones here. I will be designing more themes for Nokia phones, so stay tuned and do subscribe to the RSS feed! Godspeed!
Admit it! Spammy incoming calls on your Nokia mobile phones can be quite disrupting and annoying. Call filtering can be a real pain specially when your only number is being distributed to a group of nothing to do freaks and fiends. With the latest version of Private Call and SMS Guard by Symbian On you will not only get a complete call manager to filter your desired numbers but additionally you will also enjoy its privacy features of hiding call list and multiple SMS from a predetermined set of numbers. Private Call and SMS Guard can be considered to be the ultimate SMS and Call Manager for any smartphones that are available in the market for Nokia, SonyEricsson and Samsung.
Private Call and SMS Guard is a complete call management software based on the symbian os 3rd edition smartphones of Nokia. It has some useful functionality which includes filtering of incoming calls and SMS from ringing and call lists based on specific numbers or even based on a set of numbers. The set of numbers work quite nicely, an example will give you a good understanding of what actually you will get when you install this mobile application on your Nokia smartphones.
Consider you want to block a specific number who is giving you missed calls continuously, all you have to do is simply enter that number in the default black list and from the next time Private Call and SMS Guard will automatically reject all incoming calls from that number before it can even ring. You can further customize it and actually receive the number automatically and then reject it to teach that idiot a good lesson. This will make his/her network operator bill him for outgoing calls and will also save you from the annoyance. If someone is spamming you with bulk SMS messages then you can also use Private Call and SMS Guard to either delete or hide the incoming SMS before any further action. If you hide the SMS messages automatically then it will not show up in the SMS inbox or no screen will pop up with a SMS notification but after you enter the menu of Private Call and SMS Guard you can read the SMS message easily.
However, how will you yourself know that there was an incoming SMS in the first place? How will you know when to check for hidden SMS on your Nokia symbian mobile phones? Private Call and SMS Guard makes that easy too. There is the option to turn on a very small flashing icon (its really small and blinks near the clock when there is a filtered SMS in your inbox and it is unread) which will let you to check the SMS after entering a password. The same can be done for any incoming calls! To filter the incoming or outgoing calls and SMS from a group of people you have two options. One, you can make a new contact in your mobile phone’s contact book and add all those numbers under that contact and mark that specific contact for a specified action. Two, you can filter all incoming calls and SMS via a number code. For example, if you want to hide or delete all incoming calls and SMS from the UK or Australia or India or Bangladesh, you simply enter the country code in the call and SMS blacklist of Private Call and SMS Guard and instruct it to simply take your specified action!
Private Call and SMS Guard for Nokia symbian smartphones and handhelds also let’s you record phone calls, both incoming and outgoing on the go! It does not come with the irritating ‘Beep’ sound either and saves the voice clip of the entire conversation in your desired format. This call management mobile application also have the option to turn on and off auto keypad lock for your phone so that when the mobile phone is in your pocket you do not accidentally trigger an outgoing call. Private Call and SMS Guard can act in a stealth mode, means it will not even show up when you press the background application running combination on your keypad (which is by pressing menu for a fair amount of time) and it will also not make appearance on your task manager. It will start up the application engine automatically in the background when you turn on your phone which makes it the perfect call manager to-date for 3rd edition and fifth edition smartphones of Nokia N-Series ane S60 E-Series.
You can obviously select to all the other standard mobile application functions that you usually have in Nokia call/Keypad management applications like Webgate Device Locks or a call recorder application like Xelnex Voice Logging etc. You also have the option to only receive calls from a pre-specified white list or those you know and are listed in your contacts book. This latest version of Private Call and SMS Guard is compatible with a wide range of N-Series and E-Series Symbian OS Series 60 Nokia smartphones like Nokia N95, N91, N81, N81 8gb, N95 8gb, N96, N93, N92, N82, N85, N80, N79, N78, N77, N76, N75, N73, N71, 3250, 6120, 6210, E65, E66, E50, E51, E90, E70, E71, 5700 Xpress Music, 5800 XpressMusic, 5500, 8800, Luna, Arte, 6110, 6290 etc. Major GSM and WCDMA networks are supported like AT&T Wireless, Etisalat, Sprint, France Telecom, Airtel, Telstra, Telenor, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Orange Mobile UK, Cingular, Nextel etc.
